About Me

A Work in Progress...........

If you are wondering about the title of my Blog it stems from a shirt my friends made for me back in high school.  Yes, I have been running that long.  Back in the day I was not the best at spelling, so my friends thought it would be funny and good gesture to make me a shirt saying “EYE LICK TWO RHUNE” (I Like To Run).  Little did they know that I have worn that shirt every race I have ever run either pre-race or post-race.  Many people look at it and do not understand the words some think I am a fan of the game Mad Gab (which I am NOT).  But none the less I could not think of a better title to this Blog.

I am a lift-time runner, High School Science teacher, Assistant Cross-Country Coach and a self-proclaimed nerd. I am somewhat of a purest when it comes to running, just me the road and my thoughts. I have been running on and off for as long as I can remember. Focusing on my long-term goals running, training for races of all lengths. I try to promote the simplicity of this sport to beginners and insight to the complexity to more experienced runners. I believe that being a student of the sport helps me improve as a runner and as a coach.

Recently I have found that I will continue my training plans as Dad.  This will no doubt change how I train. There no doubt going to some humorous tales of life with a newborn, countless days of little to know sleep and even less running but we will see how this goes.
